-- Transcript of Trump-Zelenskyy phone call

Two months ago on July 25 -- the day after Robert Mueller testified about how much Donald Trump and his team welcomed the Russian espionage/interference in our 2016 election that made Trump President -- Donald Trump asked a "favor" of the new Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy: conduct a bogus investigation into false allegations against Joe Biden to help Trump win in 2020.

-- Transcript of Trump-Zelenskyy phone call

Ukraine, illegally occupied by Russian troops who've killed thousands of Ukrainians, desperately needed the almost $400 million Congress had appropriated to Ukraine to defend itself.  But Trump withheld the aid just before making the call.

-- Whistleblower complaint

Trump told Zelenskyy to talk to his fixer Rudy Giuliani (who was his personal attorney not in the Government) and Bob Barr, Attorney General of the United States. And Zelenskyy promised Trump he'd conduct the unwarranted investigation. Zelenskyy also craved a public meeting with the President of the United States to show Russian dictator Vladimir Putin that Ukraine had the support of the United States. But Trump told Vice President Pence to cancel his trip to attend Zelenskyy's inauguration. Trump would send the Energy Secretary instead, making clear that Zelenskyy understood:

QUID PRO QUO!

That's right. The President of the United States abused his power, risked our national security, and betrayed our country -- harming our ally Ukraine and aiding our enemy Russia -- by illegally withholding hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to blackmail a foreign government into creating bogus dirt on his leading political opponent.

And then he lied about it and covered it up. (But two days after getting caught, he released the aid.)

Rudy Giuliani, the Attorney General, and the Vice President of the United States are also knee-deep in the fetid swamp.

The President is malevolent.
The President is stupid.

Thank God the President is stupid.
Or his evil would have far more dangerous consequences.

Thank God we still have patriotic people like the whistleblower and the Intelligence Community's Inspector General whose loyalty to their country is greater than their self-regard.

There is a treasonous cancer in the White House that is sacrificing our national security, our democracy, and our freedom, aiding and abetting our enemies in order to line its pockets.

It must be rooted out top to bottom, from the President of the United States to the tiniest cancerous cell that is seeking to destroy our republic from the inside. Everyone involved in this conspiracy to destroy the republic must be frogmarched from the White House to federal penitentiaries to serve long terms.

Only after the cancer is fully gone will America be Made Great Again.

I fully support the impeachment inquiry.

I would like you to do us a favor though...

Virginia holds an election in less than 40 days...

I support impeachment for the simple reason that I love my country.

When the President of the United States is betraying our country in order to help our enemies and line his pockets, while corruptly blackmailing a weak foreign leader to serve the President's political and personal interests and rig our elections in his favor, I think that's wrong.

But, to my knowledge, not a single elected Virginia Republican has stood up to the President's betrayal of the United States. They hope the American People will overlook a level of corruption that far exceeds anything Richard Nixon ever did.

But if you help us win in Virginia, we can send them a message.

The entire nation will be watching Virginia to see whether the impeachment inquiry helps or hurts Democrats.

Flipping the Virginia legislature would be a momentum-builder for Democrats nationwide. It will give courage and sustenance to our Members of Congress looking to do the right thing with regard to a lawless and corrupt President. It will show the country that standing up for American values like democracy and fair elections is an election winner, not an election loser.

Conversely, failure to win Virginia would be a singular message to the President that he is above the law.

I know which side you're on.

But will you help us?

Your support is critical to sending the right message on November 5, 2019.

That no one, not even the President, is above the law.

I will keep writing about impeachment on Facebook (personal pageDelegate page, and radio page), on Twitter, and in op-eds.

In order to defeat our corrupt President and show support for the impeachment inquiry,

I would like you to do us a favor though.

And here's a bonus: the favor we ask of you is legal...
